James A. Dunham is a seasoned real estate professional and responsible broker of Jim Dunham & Associates, a diversified real estate company. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Jim has established a reputation for his expertise in brokering commercial, development, and investment properties and opportunities.

Jim holds two prestigious designations in the real estate industry – the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR). These designations are held by a select few, with only six percent of commercial brokers worldwide holding the CCIM designation and less than two percent holding the SIOR designation.

In addition to his designations, Jim is an active member of various professional organizations, including the National Association of Realtors®, the South Dakota Association of Realtors®, the Realtor® Association of the Sioux Empire, the MN/SD CCIM Chapter, the National CCIM Chapter, and the National SIOR Chapter. Jim is also a trained mediator of real estate disputes, as awarded by the National Association of Realtors®.

Jim is actively involved in his community, serving as a member of the South Dakota Association of Realtors® Professional Standards Committee and the Homebuilders Association of the Sioux Empire, where he chairs their Government Affairs Committee. He also sits on the board of trustees for the Sioux Empire Friends of Affordable Housing

Political Action Committee and is a member and past President of the South Dakota MultiHousing Association.

In addition to his professional involvement, Jim has been an active member of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce since 1987. He has served as the past Chairperson of the National Association of Realtors® Real Property Operations committee, a committee member of the Realtors® Commercial Alliance, and the past Chairperson of the Grievance and Professional Standards Committee of the Realtors® Association of the Sioux Empire. Jim has also served as a former State director and a past member of the South Dakota Association of Realtors® Board of Directors, a past Ambassador of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, and a past member of the National Association of Realtors® Commercial Advisory Committee.

Jim is a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls, an extensive leadership program offered by the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. Jim and his wife, Linda, reside in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota metro area and have two children, Ashley and Elizabeth, six grandchildren, and a cat named Curious George.
